X-Touch Mini’s rotary knobs and buttons used for simulating corresponding EFIS and FCU knobs and buttons in the virtual cockpit of the A320-FBW (applies to captain’s side).
You need to have:
- MS Flight Simulator running ;-)
- A320 by Fly-by-Wire installed (tested both on the development or experimental version)
- An X-Touch Mini device by Behringer
- Spad.Next installed (Complete Edition is required for X-Touch Mini handling)
Following rotary knobs are simulated:
EFIS
- Baro - setting of air pressure
- ND - setting od Navigation display mode
- RANGE - setting of ND’s range shown
FCU
- SPEED
- HEADING
- ALTITUDE
- V/S
“Managed mode” is simulated if you press shortly on the corresponding rotary knob axis (a short beep is audible). “Open mode” (aka “Selected mode”) is simulated if you press long on the corresponding rotary knob axis (a long beep is audible).
Following buttons are simulated (a button lights up if active):
EFIS
- FD
- LS
- CSTR
FCU
- LOC
- HDG TRK / V/S FPA
- AP1
- ATHR
- 10-100 Alt
- EXPED
- APPR
Known issues:
FD (FLight Director) light does not function if the button on X-Touch Mini is pressed. The light works correctly if the FD button is pressed in the virtual coockpit’s EFIS. However, the FD button on X-Touch Mini itself works properly and toggles the FD mode.
