Re-run the batch file every time after updating B78XH.
If not, the instruments will not work properly.

Before reporting bugs/post questions:

•Read #Frequently_Asked (above comments tab)

•UpdateB787-10 to latest ver and B78XH to latest DEV build(>0.1.15) and run installer again. (For users whose instruments are not displayed or everything shows pink)

•I’m aware of the possibility that the VNAV/ILS APP may become unstable.

(Adjusting Joystick dead-zone setting [20%-50%] may solve it.)

•Please run the installer again to update the instrument files.

•Please confirm that the same bug does not occur on B787-10.

I downloaded this on Friday 27 January and I absolutely love it. Well done and thank you for such a great job.

My first flight was KSFO-YSSY 15 hours and 40 minutes and it performed perfect. I have read some of the comments about issues people have had and I am happy to say I didn´t have any of those. It climbed and descended without any problems and performed a normal ILS approach and landing. Everything worked on the FMS and all the navaids were there.

Did the return flight YSSY-KSFO the next day, 15 hours 15 minutes and again it was flawless

probably the only one with this problem, but I have gone through the installation steps and have the 787-10 with the HD mod. Virtual cockpit still there and the actual cockpit screens are all blank when I start up the aircraft? Anyone know what I did wrong?

hey, cargo and pax doors won't open with gsx. I see on your photos that it should actually open when stairs/jetways/luggage truck/band are connecting. What can be the problem? Is there a way to open them? Is there a gsx profile which may solve this?

    Installer :
    Even if the folder name of HD78XH (downloaded by Community-Downlaoder) is B78XH-dev, it will be detected (as dev version).
    B787-8 :
    Parameters such as engine thrust, fuel consumption, etc. will be the same as the (installed) B78XH after runned v1.0.5-installer.
    (-1B76 instead of GEnx-1B70, but more realistic to fly than before).

    (Installer : v1.0.4→v1.0.5)
    (B787-8 : v1.0.4→v1.0.5)

How to install this?
No Cabin interior?

No, and never will.

(No one can edit interior model because asobo encrypts models/xml)

No EFB?

The installer is designed to apply B78XH's updates to the B787-8 when the installer is re-run after updating the B78XH.
In other words, if HD creates an EFB, this mod will also have an EFB

(not sure when it will be or it will work correctly. Don't ask them/me).

Instruments are broken

(First of all, have you installed MSFS's 787-10 and B78XH?)

Try to install latest B78XH dev and run Kuro_B787-8_Installer.bat again

Have you updated your B78XH recently?
When you update B78XH, you also need to update Kuro_B787-8 using the installer. 
There is no need to reinstall, the Installer will automatically notify you that you have already installed the 787-8, so after selecting the Community folder, select "No"(not to replace the current one) and the update will take less than a second.

Please make sure that the contents of the Community folder are only B78XH and B787-8. 
If it's working, some different mod(s) is(are) affecting.
(If you have latest B787-10, B78XH and B788(installed from .bat), I think you won't be missing any instruments..?)

I want to use FTsim+ sound pack

I haven’t bought FTSim+, so I can't guarantee it will work, but it should work.

after install,

1. Delete all files in Community/Kuro_B787-8/SimObjects/Kuro_B787-8/sound/  folder,

2. Paste FTSim's "***.PC.PCK" and "sound.xml",

("***.PC.PCK" should be name of FTSim+ sound file)

3.Open Community/Kuro_B787-8/layout.json with notepad

4. Edit

"path": "SimObjects/Airplanes/Kuro_B787_8/sound/Asobo_B787_10.PC.PCK",

(Line around 144) to

"path": "SimObjects/Airplanes/Kuro_B787_8/sound/***.PC.PCK",

 

Why is the installer needed. / I don't want to run Installer(exe/bat/py)

A. because it's hard for users to do the following operations.

If you do not want to use the installer, follow the instructions(10steps) below. However,there will be no supporting.

(Even after installation, B78XH is required for flying)

(Re-do these operations every time after updating the B78XH. If not, the instrument will not operate properly.)

 

1. unzip Kuro_B787-8_Installer.zip

2. unzip main.zip

3. move Kuro_B787-8 folder to Community

4. copy hdfmc8.js and B787_10_FMC.html from

Community\B78XH(orB78XH-main,B78XH-experimental) \html_ui\Pages\VCockpit\Instruments\Airliners\B787_10\FMC

to

Community\Kuro_B787-8\html_ui\Pages\VCockpit\Instruments\Airliners\B787_10\FMC

5. (v1.0.5~)  copy engines.cfg from

Community\B78XH(orB78XH-main,B78XH-experimental) \SimObjects\Airplanes\Asobo_B787_10

to

Community\Kuro_B787-8\SimObjects\Airplanes\Kuro_B787_8

6. rename copied files : hdfmc.js→hdfmc8.js B787_10_FMC.html→B787_8_FMC.html

7. open hdfmc8.js

8.Replace the following codes and save file

['787-10', 'GEnx-1B76']

['787-8', 'GEnx-1B70']

 

Only flaps 5, 10, 15, 17, 18, 20 can be set for takeoff
