This was our first project using the Microsoft Flight Sim 2020 SDK. The scenery consists of The Humber Bridge. The Humber Bridge connects the East Riding of Yorkshire with North Linconshire, England. The Humber Bridge was the longest single span suspension bridge in the world up until 1998.
With version 3 we are back with the full bridge model as we can now exclude the ASOBO model that came along with the UK update last year. We have added a lot of additional signage, blended it in better with the scene and added the maintenance cradles and cabling. We've also modified the collision physics so that you can fly under as well as land on the road deck, but take note that the cables and towes are now collidable too.
IMPORTANT: IF YOU ARE UPGRADING FROM VERSION 0.9, PLEASE DELETE THE hmbrbrdg DIRECTORY FROM YOUR COMMUNITY FOLDER. If upgrading from 1.0 PLEASE DELETE THE uk-humber-estuary folder.
Please see the attached PDF file inside the zip file which covers: Installation; Finding the community folder; Licensing; Credits; Contacts; Change Log.
See you in the Sim!

Hi Chris
got the new version but it's still pretty much the same from the south i see traffic approaching the bridge road then disappear. same with the north end. however, i see the odd one or two cars travelling over the bridge then disappear. can you take a look at this when you're not so busy.
regards
David

Hi David.
Sorry for the confusion, we have removed the auto-gen traffic because it still wasn't following the deck correctly and, specifying the deck as a road means you can't fly under it. We'll add our own traffic at some point in the future.

Hi Ant,
Have you downloaded all of the free World Updates from the Marketplace? This scenery uses the cables from the ASOBO bridge that came with the UK update.
All the best,
Chris

An update on this one, I've noticed that there are still a few downloads going on after the UK update which has it's own version of the bridge and has generated a conflict. I did contact Microsoft prior to the UK update asking what would happen if the UK update had a Humber Bridge, and was advised to apply to join the partner program to get an answer. It's been two months of anxiety and waiting but I can finally announce that absolutely nothing has happened.
If there's no progress on a solution in the next week or so, we will be adapting the 3D model so that it fits into the UK update version with all the bits and pieces like the textures people liked, being visible again.
It was a big challenge to get all of the proportions correct and the new release won't be quite true to the actual architecture but I think it's the right thing to do, after all a few centimetres here and there won't make that much of a difference as long as it doesn't flicker.
If you have downloaded this recently, please do register for updates if you haven't already but, also temporarily remove this plugin's directory from your community folder as there seems to be a conflict in loading order with the Humberside Airport plugin released earlier this month, I apologize for dropping the ball on this one.
There is a BIG scenery enhancement (area wise) coming for the South Bank very soon which is currently in the testing/blending phase. Plan to move back to this plugin after that's done.
Fly safe.

I can't seem to work this addon unfortunately ever since MSFS included their version of the Humber. Any ideas what could be going on, because everything is being put correctly in the community repository?
