Improved airport scenery for O09 Round Valley Airport, Covelo CA, USA version 1.00
This package provides buildings and other enhancements for Round Valley Airport, ICAO O09, Covelo CA, a General Aviation airport in Mendocino County. The default MSFS airport is a flat expanse of nothingness, which this package intends to improve upon. All-native Asobo scenery objects are used for low impact on frame rates.
This is my second scenery project, thanks to all the dedicated YouTubers and folks on the various MSFS fora who helped ease the learning curve! That being said, there are still some shortomings until I can learn how to create my own models and textures in Blender and import them into the scenery SDK. Namely, the "Tee" hangars which exist at the actual airports - and which are ubiquitous in many airorts around the area - are represented by default Asobo box-like small hangars. Wish they'd give us some Tee Hangars to work with!
Otherwise, the runway, aprons, taxiways, parking, airport signage and scenery objects have been entirely redone in an effort to make this nice little airfield more interesting and authentic.

If you get a chance, airport 1O2 (Lakeport, CA) could really use some love. Asobo didn't place a single building at the airport when there should be numerous buildings along with several rows of hangars.

Was away from the sim for a few weeks but just wanted to drop a note to say how great the enhancements to Round Valley are. Granted, there's not much there IRL but the additions you've made give it that extra feel of realism. Thanks again for this and O16 Garberville. Look forward to whatever you conjure up next!

Thanks very much and I'm tickled that you like it - as you say there isn't much there in real life anyway. Next up is KFOT which I'm spending a lot more time on and have learned to make custom ground textures for. Still have yet to get Blender under my belt so it will be done using stock scenery objects (for now). Shouldl be done very soon.
