This folder contains a repaint for the Noorduyn Norseman by BigRadials, in the colors of Norseman #2496 AP-Q of the RCAF. Delivered to the USAAF as aircraft No. 43-5387 on March 29, 1944 but transferred via Lend Lease to the RCAF as aircraft No. 2496. Reported as having been on loan to the Royal Air Force at one time and coded as FZ442.  Probably used in support of the RAF's Ferry Command operations in Canada. Assigned to No. 1 training Command, Toronto, Ontario and placed in Reserve Storage. Activated on May 5, 1944 and transferred to No. 1 A.C. on January 15, 1945. Went to No. 9 T Group (413 Photo Squadron), Rockcliffe, Ontario on May 4, 1946, coded as AP-Q. Transferred to Air Transport Command on April 1, 1948. On Octobe 14, 1948 it was sent to WSR No. 6 Repair Depot for reconditioning. Returned to ATC (413 Survey Squadron) on March 5, 1949.  On January 31, 1950 it went to WR No. 6 Repair Depot for refinishing and returned on February 17, 1950. Sent to N0. 11 TSU (Canadian Car And Foundry) on April 24, 1950 for door installation, returning April 27 and going to N0. 6 Repair Depot 'pending allotment to contractor'. On July 27, 1950 it went to No. 11 TSU (Canadian Car) for reconditioning. Returned to No. 6 Repair Depot where, on June 23, 1951 it was reduced to spares and produce. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom.
