British Midland G-OBMA (737-900ER) & G-OBMZ (737-900)
As requested, here is PMDG’s 737-900 and -900ER in its livery from the 1990s, prior to the BMI rebranding.
British Midland flew the -200, -300, -400, and -500 series during their time, and great liveries have already been produced for all of PMDG’s offerings, so to complete the set, here is the -900 and -900ER. The -900 came onto the market in 2001, the same year as the BMI rebranding, and the ER a few years later.
BM’s liveries are quite varied, and subtle changes were made throughout its history, such as changes in the belly grey, the addition of a red stripe in the later 90s, and various decals and logos as BM started to position itself as a European airline. I’ve gone with the early 90s iteration, as shown in the image uploaded by the requestor, which was G-OBMN, with its lighter grey belly and white stripe.
Two PTP files are included in the package, the fictional G-OBMZ, -900, and G-OBMA, -900ER.
I always like to add a EFB tablet wallpaper, so this time, bearing in mind this is a 2001 aircraft, I’ve gone a little “old-school”, a bit silly but hope you all enjoy.
Features:
- An adaptation based on British Midland’s aircraft, with correct logos, colours, and fonts.
- Complete with CAA UK registration and airworthiness certificates, which I’ve adapted to reflect the 2001 origin.
Installation:
- Via the PMDG Operations Center, install via PTP
Additional:
- As mentioned above, a ‘retro’ wallpaper and 2 icon files for PMDG's EFB tablet is included - should replace the originals in ...\Community\pmdg-aircraft-739\html_ui\Pages\VCockpit\Instruments\PMDGTablet\pmdg-737-900\Assets – don’t forget to make copies of the original files.
Your comments are always welcome, relatively new to the livery business so always hoping to improve, and if you like it then I'd be very grateful for your review. I hope it matches the expectations of the requestor and I would be happy to make any changes or updates as required.
