Welcome to Lielvarde Air Base, located 50km south east of Riga, Latvia.
On Friday, March 1st 2024, the Lielvarde military airfield in Latvia became the third NATO base where allied fighters conducting the NATO Baltic Air Policing mission over Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania will be stationed. The Lielvarde base became the new location for NATO fighters as the Ämari Air Base in Estonia is undergoing repairs.
Due to the lack of image sources on the internet, this scenery is an interpretation of the few pictures I found and sattelite images from Google Maps.
To provide diversity of Aircrafts and SimObjects, I added different fleet from different missions of Baltic Air Policing.
UPDATE :
-Added LAMS Shelter and Airfield Operations Building
-Taxi and Runway Lights
- Reworked Layout
- Added parking spots

Some improvements needed:
Missing IFR frequencies: VORTAC/ILS
Airfield elevation:basically it is flat everything in there in radius 25km
As already mentioned and link provided in previous comments, some building needs adjustment - like TWR building and Fire depot next to where UH60 is parked.
Overall, amazing. Thank You!

NATO Air Policing is a permanent peacetime mission conducted within the NATO Integrated Air and Missile Defence (IAMD) framework. Its primary goal is to preserve the security of Alliance airspace. Here are the key points about NATO Air Policing:
Continuous Presence: Fighter aircraft and crews are on standby 24/7, 365 days a year. They are ready to react swiftly to any potential airspace violations.
Collective Task: NATO Air Policing is a collective effort involving multiple Allies. Countries with fighter aircraft capabilities help ensure the integrity of the airspace for those that do not possess such capabilities.
Solidarity and Cohesion: It demonstrates solidarity among Allies and shared responsibility. The mission contributes to NATO’s collective defense.
Support to Civilian Aircraft: Besides safeguarding Alliance airspace, NATO Air Policing forces also provide assistance to civilian aircraft in distress, such as when they lose communication with air traffic control.
Quick Reaction Alert (QRA): When an interception is necessary (e.g., airspace violations or suspicious air activity), the relevant command center decides which QRA interceptor aircraft will be scrambled to respond promptly.
60 Years of Service: Established during the Cold War in 1961, NATO Air Policing has been an integral part of NATO’s defense system for six decades.
Allied Air Command oversees the NATO Air Policing mission from two Combined Air Operations Centres (CAOCs) in Spain and Germany, covering European NATO airspace. It’s a vital capability that ensures the safety and sovereignty of our skies.
