Hello Simmers!
I wanted to get this message out as soon as I could just to keep all of you tracking this project updated!
V0.9 will be sticking around for a while in its current form. There has been huge progress made ahead of the V1.0 release and im too far into this next release that an update would include alot of half done details. I feel that after my own testing and the testing of the community I have got the latest version to a usable state.
For those of you that have stuck around since V0.5 and have been dealing with that two week stint of almost daily updates I want to thank you. Its somewhat embarrasing to keep releasing a product and releasing hotfixes and updates because I kept finding issues. I had some free time from work and it really jumpstarted the workflow for a short period of time and unfortunately some releases were premature. I set out a goal of releasing a stable project that can withstand a few weeks of no updates and I feel I have accomplished that. So thank you again, and please do not hesitate to message me or comment on the project if you have issues. I am a passionate hobbyist who does this in his free-time and I want to ensure you are all happy so I can continue this project.
In my personal life the next few months are uncertain. I may be a step closer to reaching my lifetime goal of becoming a military aviator and may not have an abundance of time to work on this. So my next goal is to have V1.0 out by the end of February. Since this will be the first official release I want to make sure it is a good one.
Below are some of the planned features of V1.0;
-C130 Models for the Air Reserve Wing
-Animated Runway Guard Lights
-Completely Redo Airport Painted Lines (Some Hold-Shorts are backwards)
-Finish all basic texturing (All buildings must have detailed texture work)
-Add a few extra Vehicle Models
-Add a few smaller Building/Sign Models
Things you wont see in V1.0 but will show up in future updates;
-PBR Texturing (Im learning, having some issues, May need help)
-Interior Modeling of Terminal (This will most likely come in V1.5/V2.0)
Things you wont see ever;
-Any Monetary Payment (This project will NEVER cost you a penny 😊 )
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Thank you again for staying on board with this project and allowing me to present Pittsburgh International to all of you. I will try my best to continue my work and provide my dedication to this underappreciated airport.

Texturing for the initial V1.0 release will be simple, but complete. PBR will have to wait as there is apparently still alot of learning ahead for me. But for now, normal texturing will do. To save on file size and framerate I have elected to keep most unseen textures low resolution. After my own testing ive found this to be a good compromise. Here are some screenshots to show some of the progress at the 171st Air Refueling Wing area of the airport! All logos seen have been remade from scratch based on the reference material!

Hello all,
I would like to share some good, bad, and hopeful news for this project with you all!
The good news is that I have begun on smaller detailed models such as billboards and Pittsburgh International specific signs. This signifies the end of the main building modeling and the transfer to texturing and smaller models. There have been some hiccups but I feel like you will all be impressed with the overall look and experience of traversing the airport and exploring its main details! The file size has increased quite a bit from the initial 77mb to over 300mb. This is a sign of the progress and detail to come!
The bad news for the project is that I have infact been selected for flight training in the U.S. Military and will be expecting to move away for that in around 6-8 months. What this means for you is that V1.0 is garaunteed to be released soon but V2.0+ may not. This project will not die, but it will have to be given to another individual or team to take over. I will still have some part in the project, as it has taken over a year for me to get it this far and I dont intend to give up on it. However, I will need someone to make the large hurdles after V1.0. I will not have the time to invest to push this project much further during training. But my intentions are to have it completed enough where V2.0+ is not necessary. We will see.
The hopeful news is that I will be attempting to import DEM data for terraforming which will hopefully solve all of the terraforming issues. Which admittedly is my biggest hurdle at the moment. Ive gotten pretty adept at modeling and texturing and traversing the SDK, but terraforming has been my achilles heal from the beginning.
Thank you for reading this update! I have included some screenshots of the latest progress. Let me know if you have any questions!

Hey all,
Wanted to take a minute to update yall. I have been in Army Flight Training for the past couple months and have not had the time to work on this project in about ~6 months. It has always been at the back of my mind but from my own random usage and friends I have been pleasantly suprised that it has held up with very few major issues. I have built a new PC and hope to continue working on it and getting another update done before 2023. On the horizon we have the start of the interior modeling of the terminal. I found a new method of doing this fairly quickly and depending on the workflow may actually have this done fairly quickly! Of course I have to manage my personal time, flight training time, and family time. But I have not forgotten about this project. Hope to see yall real soon roaming the terminal of Pittsburgh International!

Hey All!
Need some input for the next part of the project. I have been developing an interior for the tower which I made pretty detailed. Which leaves other parts of the airport, like the terminal, a bit lacking in detail. Now alot of the background buildings can get away with black windows but I feel the terminal is not one of them. I attempted to model an interior but the time commitment was pretty large. I have been fiddling with another way which seems quicker but less detailed. I also considered Parallax as an option but that also seems like a learning curve and will take some time. The option im using now is quicker and not 100% accurate or detailed but it will atleast give an impression of depth and life in the terminal. It will fall apart if you spend too much time in it and it will appear repetitive, but I will try and break up with gate entrances and stores/rooms that will make the space more dynamic. And it is 100% 3D which makes it easier to light up within the building. I will post some pictures and would much appreciate some input!
